What do I like to eat?
Hello! This is me on the picture at my home in Germany. I have a beautiful environment, nature all around me. Just 3 minutes from my place, I have forest and fields all around. Nice surroundings to enjoy when I finally come home from my travels.
Everyday (I like to ride my bycicle, I ride to ride my bike…), I go riding the bycicle to the city which is 5 kilometers away. In my village, there is really no store, nothing to buy and also no public phone. We have the post box to send letters, though. There in the city I buy fruits and vegetables, or simply collect some fruits from the trees or ground which I find on the way. Than I feel always like a winner! Here you can see how beautiful pictures I have in front of me when I am on my 10 kilometers there and back home.
Today I would like to show you what I eat. Or better what I prefer to eat. Simply said it is living food. And I suggest you reading http://www.living-foods.com.
So I collected some apples in list few days from the trees which do not belong to anyone. And I have bought some kind of a dark carrot, which you can see on this picture. It gives nice juice and has some better advantages than the usual carrot.
Here you can find Meerrettich (in German) or horseradish in English. Spicy thing I put on sendwiches with living food.
And this is sauerkraut, cabbage cut fine and allowed to ferment in a brine made of own juice with some salt and wine added. I have to buy it in Germany, although I have relatives who makes this by themselves in their cellers.
These prunes came from Italy and I bought them today in the Aldi store in my city. I think it was just 60 cents for the box.
And here you can see some bananas, grapefruit, avocado, papaya, garlic and pears. That all stands in my kitchen and it is going to be used in few days.
Here you can see apples just collected from my today’s ride (I like to ride my bycicle, I like to ride my bike…). They are not as nice as when you buy them in the store. But they are excellent for tasty juices!
And this is the favorite living food, sprouts which I let grow in the kitchen. They are eatable just in this form. I prepare them for special sendwiches with avocado invented by myself: you take a black bread, I put some horseradish or spicy vegetable pâté which contains pepper or chilly, and over that big slices of avocado and on top I put these fresh sprouts, a lots of them. Try it out and you will see how it feels - marvelous.
These are glasses where I let the sprouts develop. I wash them every day two or more times and let the water drop out completely. If I eat half of the glass, tomorrow they grow and fill again the glass full.
And this is my blender which I use to prepare the juices. It works only if I put some water together with vegetables and fruits.
So I basically do not eat any processed, cooked or baken food. But this is my sin. German honey hearts, filled with creamy paste and covered by chocolate. You see, I am not that much fanatic!
Eating fresh fruits and vegetables has many advantages for you and your body, your health and feeling. The website: http://www.living-foods.com will tell you all details about it. Imagine, you stop cooking, wasting the energy and time. How fast it takes to make my breakfast, just few minutes to put the fruits into the mixing maching and maybe 30 seconds to have them ready in the form of juice. And how fast for other meals - well about the same. It is just a matter of peeling some fruits and putting them in nice shape. One thing interesting with the mixer is that you don’t even need to chew. It is strange feeling when you in 2 minutes suddenly become well-fed and you didn’t even once chew on that thing. So remain in the chewing form, I eat also many kinds of nuts, sun dried fruits, sprouts and some nice bread as well.
And I adore fruits also for other advantages than health. They are beautiful creations of the nature, you get the idea from this picture. Some people say that full fruits like papaya and apples are more for men, and mixed juices more for women, but I like to eat both.
This is the juice from today, the recipe is very simple, one papaya bought in Europe, which means it is not as big as those papayas from Central America, and four prunes imported to Germany from Italy, together with one glass of water to have it juicy. Wonderful.
